Provocative Therapy and NLP's Missing Model!
In the late 70's, Bandler and Grinder modelled a therapeutic genius by the name of Frank Farelly. The model was never formally completed because Bandler and Grinder went their separate ways, however...
Have you ever wondered where that 'ballsey' way of working that Richard Bandler has came from?
Farelly's approach - Provocative Therapy - was developed through his 17 years of experience working with psychiatric inpatients. Over that time he evolved a system of psychotherapy in which the therapist plays devil's advocate, siding with the negative half of the client's ambivalence toward life goals, relationships, work and the structures within which he/she lives. Creatively implementing his method with good-hearted, provocative humour, Farelly started getting results with 'difficult' patients, where others had failed and given up. And Farelly's approach is quite something!
"If you think I'm crazy, you should meet Frank!"
Dr Richard Bandler, Co-creator of NLP
These two events represent an incredible opportunity to learn about Provocative Therapy from none other than Nick Kemp, a close friend and high ranking student of Frank Farelly. You will not only learn about Provocative Therapy, but also Provocative Change Works, a progressive new system for change developed personally by Nick from Frank's original work. (Nick is the creator of the acclaimed DVD set Therapeutic Excellence and Provocative Change Works™ for Phobias)
"I trained for 5 years with the co creator of NLP, with 3 years assisting up close, but Frank Farrelly's material is a whole new evolutionary leap"
Nick Kemp
Here's the run-down on each event:
An evening of Provocative Change Works™ Demonstrations
Friday 26th February 2010 - 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Nick Kemp will be personally demonstrating the patterns and strategies used in Provocative Therapy. Remember that this approach extensively influenced both co-creators of NLP, so you really are going to get a deeper insight into how Bandler and Grinder work (especially, I would suggest, Bandler).
Watching these demonstrations will give you a full sense of how the Provocative approach can be so effective, and why it is considered by some to be the most powerful form of 'conversational' change work.
Provocative Therapy in Practice – Doorways into Provocative Change
Saturday 26th February 2010 - 10am - 5.00pm
This is the main event! An incredible day when you will learn:
You will also attain a solid practical grounding through the practise of exercises specifically designed to develop Provocative Therapy and Change Work skills - and to assist your ongoing development you will receive a set of Association for Provocative Therapy (AFPT) training cards (which cannot be purchased by the general public and are only available at official AFPT trainings).
And if that wasn't enough...
...as a bonus all participants will receive 1 years complimentary membership to The Association for Provocative Therapy!
If you are interested in taking your therapy, coaching or changework skills to the next level, this workshop really is a must - especially if you are keen to start getting results with the more 'difficult' clients you may face!
PLEASE NOTE: There will also be an opportunity for some attendees to experience a one to one Provocative Therapy interview with Nick Kemp. If you are interested in this, please make your request when booking!
